PNP Chief Guillermo Eleazar, Granted with authority to promote 27,460 Police Officers

With the authority that has been vested by The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) to Philippine National Police Chief General Guillermo Eleazar, the promotion of over 20,000 police officer has been held today, Tuesday.

The said promotion covers the ranks from Police Corporal to Police Lieutenant Colonel of the PNP CY 2021 comes with the authorization is 1000 slots for Police Lieutenant Colonel, 720 of Police Major, 980 of Police Captain, 2,780, of Police Executive Master Sergeant , 4,140 of Police Master Chief Sergeant, 5,980 or Police Senior Master Sergeant, 2,640 of Police Staff Sergeant and 3,330 of Police Corporal.

NAPOLCOM Vice Chairman and Executive Officer (VCEO) Vitaliano Aguirre II stated that, the PNP promotion program is to boost the motivation and influence, and also the job satisfaction and the effectiveness of police organization.

“The Intensified Cleanliness Policy enhances morale and welfare in the organization by leveling the playing field for career advancement opportunities to qualified personnel”, PNP Chief Police General Guillermo Eleazar stated.

Also, this has been done to ensure the transparency of implementation and procedures in the PNP Promotion, yet he also stated that with the promotion they have received comes with the liability in the sanctions if the guidelines is breached or disobeyed.
