Makati grants fully vaccinated Seniors with Php1000 gift certificates

MANILA, Philippines – P37 Million worth of gift certificates has been distributed by the Makati City Government to their fully vaccinated Senior Citizens. Last Tuesday , 37,743 fully vaccinated Senior Citizens were given PhP1000 gift check incentives, the amount was in a total of Php37, 743, 000.

“The PHP1,000 gift cheque incentive is one of the strategic measures to encourage the elderly to have themselves vaccinated as early as possible. Our efforts have been rewarded because we have surpassed the target vaccination rate for their age group,” according to Binay’s statement.

The City government emphasized the importance of being fully vaccinated for the upcoming Holidays.

"Senior citizens are among the most at-risk groups for severe cases of Covid-19. It is comforting to know that they now have the full protection of the vaccine and can enjoy the holidays with less worries,” Binay added.

Booster shots are already available for the fully vaccinated elderlies of the city. DOH data shows that 9, 774 Senior Citizen has received their booster shots.
