After a fire incident on Saturday night, Metro Rail Transit-Line 3 (MRT-3) operations resumed on Sunday morning.
The MRT-3 Administration posted on their twitter, "The MRT-3 resumed its full operations today, with 17 trains running, from North Avenue station to Taft Avenue station (both bounds)".
This comes after one of its vehicles caught fire on Saturday night between Buendia and Guadalupe stations, injuring at least four women.
According to MRT-3 management, the fire started at 9:12 p.m. and was put out at 9:51 p.m.
The women "received injuries in their legs after jumping off the train to the mainline lines," according to the report.
Sumitomo Corporation, the MRT's maintenance contractor, stated in a statement that they are implementing steps to guarantee the safety of MRT-3 operations.
"All angles are being thoroughly examined. Again, we express our apologies for those injured and wish for their speedy recovery," he said.
